Instructors are able to make some edits to an assessment or question. Read below to learn what can be changed.
β
βStep 1: Click the edit icon next to the desired assessment.
Instructors have the ability to make changes to assessments under the following conditions:
If there are no student submissions, the assessment remains fully editable, including all properties and the attached rubric.
If students have started submitting but the instructor has not yet graded any responses using a rubric, the attached rubric can still be edited or changed for any question.
Once grading begins using the rubric, the rubric attached to each question is locked and cannot be modified. However, all other assessment properties not related to the rubric remain editable.
Admin Lockdown Assessments are never editable by instructors, regardless of submission or grading status, to maintain standardization across districts and for reporting purposes.
Step 2: When your edits are made, be sure to Save any changes.
FAQ
What if the incorrect rubric is attached to a locked down assessment?
Because instructors cannot edit lockdown assessments, the district admin would need to update the assessment and share it again. The assessment that's already been imported will remain the version that it was at the time of importing. If you find yourself in this situation, it is recommended to delete the old incorrect version and import the new version once it's been updated by your admin.
