FAQ

  • Q: Why does Extempore need access to my camera and microphone?

A: Extempore requires camera and microphone access to enable you to record video responses for your assignments. Without these permissions, you won't be able to complete video-based tasks within the app.

  • Q: What if I accidentally denied permissions?

A: If you previously denied permissions, you can still grant them by following the steps outlined above for your device type (Apple or Android).

  • Q: Will Extempore access my camera and microphone when I'm not using the app?

A: No, Extempore only accesses your camera and microphone when you're actively using the app to complete assignments or tasks that require these features.

  • Q: I've followed all the steps, but I'm still having issues. What should I do?

A: If you're still experiencing problems after following these steps, try the following:

    • Restart your device and the Extempore app.

    • Ensure you have the latest version of the Extempore app installed.

    • Contact your instructor or Extempore support for further assistance.
