Presentational assessments have students produce the language, so responses are either written or spoken. For presentational assessments, first select the response method, either ‘audio,’ ‘video,’ or ‘text,’ then create a prompt that has students present information to an audience. What distinguishes presentational assessments is that they have an audience, but the speaker is not expecting a reply. The speaker is presenting information, as opposed to exchanging information, as in an interpersonal setting.
Step 1: Create an assessment. Select either video, audio, or text for the student response.
Step 2: Create your questions and include a prompt to which students will respond. Your prompt can be as simple as proving vocabulary to your students to form a sentence in their target language.
Step 3: Click "Save & Add New Question" or "Next" to finish creating the assessment.
