The way students will be invited or enrolled in Extempore depends on whether your district uses an LMS integration, a Google Classroom integration, or Extempore without any integrations.
Teachers who sync their classes with Google Classroom can learn more about syncing students here.
Teachers who sync other LMSs like Canvas and Schoology can skip this step, as your students will be rostered automatically.
Add students using the class invite link
Once you've created a class, you're ready to add students who can then respond to your assignments.
Follow the steps below:
To add students to your Extempore class, copy the invite link at the top of the class page.
Share the link with your students. When your students click the link, they'll be prompted to log in to their existing account or create one.
Students can create an account by filling out their credentials on the right-hand side or via single sign-on (SSO) with Google or Apple.
Once your students have accounts, they can begin responding to Extempore assessments. Students will be directed to the student portal or prompted to download the mobile app if they are using a device that requires it.
