Add a new tab to the district/school Sharing Rules sheet for next semester and provide the LMS/SIS IDs and teacher’s email addresses.
In order for teachers to be able to access their Extempore account, the following must be true:
classes exist.
teachers are enrolled as teachers. There should only be one teacher per class.
the class status is set to upcoming or active (if a course is upcoming they will sync and will become active automatically once they make the change and it hits the nightly sync.)
If your LMS/SIS courses are not set up before the scheduled training with Extempore, we recommend creating a sandbox class per teacher (“[TeacherName] Extempore Sandbox”) where they are enrolled as the teacher. Using this naming convention is recommended to avoid extracting the courseID for each sandbox.
In order for teachers to SSO into Extempore, they need at least one active or upcoming class where they are enrolled as a teacher for accounts to synchronize. If no classes exist, neither does their Extempore account.
Inactive classes will not work.
