When creating or editing an assessment, administrators will see two options that determine whether teachers can modify the assessment after it is imported.
How will this assessment be used?
District Standard (Locked)
Select District Standard for common assessments that should remain consistent across all classrooms.
When teachers import a District Standard assessment, they can only modify the assessment timeline. All other elements—including questions, structure, settings, and rubrics—are locked.
Using District Standard helps:
Maintain consistency across classrooms and campuses.
Provide a more equitable assessment experience for students.
Enable meaningful comparisons of student performance.
Ensure consistent district-wide reporting.
Teacher Template (Editable)
Choose Teacher Template for assessments that teachers are expected to customize, such as formative assessments, templates, or instructional resources.
After importing a Teacher Template assessment, teachers can edit:
Questions
Assessment structure
Rubrics
Other assessment settings
Because teachers may customize these assessments, results are reported separately rather than as a single district-wide assessment.
