How to enroll in a new class with the student-paid licensing option.

Enroll in a student paid class on Extempore

Step 1: Check your email or your LMS. Your teacher will send you a link to enroll in their Extempore class.

Step 2: Determine if you should create a new account or, if you have used Extempore before, add the class to your existing account.

Step 3: Whether you are creating a new account or adding the class to an existing Extempore account, you have the option to single sign-on with Apple or Google or manually.


Step 4: Once you sign in or create your account, you'll be prompted for payment. Enter your credit card information to purchase your student license. You’ll see a confirmation screen and will receive an email containing your receipt of payment.

You can now log into Extempore, either through the Student Portal (web-based), or by downloading the Extempore app (for mobile devices) from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Follow these simple steps to enroll in your Extempore class:

Step 1: Access the Enrollment Link

Check your email or Learning Management System (LMS) for the enrollment link sent by your teacher. The link will look similar to this:



Step 2: Choose Your Account Option

Decide whether you want to:

  • Create a new Extempore account

  • Add the class to your existing Extempore account (if you've used Extempore before)



Step 3: Choose Your Sign-In Method

When creating a new account or adding a class to an existing one, you have two sign-in options:

Option 1: Sign In with Google or Apple

  • Click on the "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple" button

  • Follow the prompts to complete the authentication process

Option 2: Manual Sign-In

  • Enter your email address and password

  • Click "Create Account" or "Sign In" as appropriate

After selecting your sign-in method, you'll be guided through the remaining steps to complete your enrollment.

Step 4: Complete Payment

After selecting your sign-in method, you'll be guided to the payment screen. Here's what to expect:

  • You'll see a summary of the class and associated costs

  • Enter your credit card information to purchase your student license

  • Review the terms and conditions, then click "Purchase" to complete the transaction

Step 5: Enter Payment Information

To complete your enrollment:

  • Enter your credit card details in the secure payment form

  • Review the total cost for your student license

  • Click "Purchase" to finalize your enrollment

Step 6: Confirmation and Access

After completing your purchase:

  • You'll see a confirmation screen

  • You'll receive an email with your payment receipt

  • You can now access Extempore through:

    • The Student Web Experience

    • Free mobile apps available on the App Store or Google Play
