Overriding question limitations

Learn to override the time limitation on individual questions.

Step 1: Once you have selected and saved your parameters for your assessment, you will be taken to the Add Question page.

  • Note: the assessment parameters will apply to each question within the chosen assessment unless manually changed (see below).

Name your question in the Question Title field, write a text description or a text question (optional) in the content field, upload your video, audio, or image file (optional), or record your video or audio prompt directly in Extempore! You can also opt to make the question a Multiple Choice question.

Step 2: You can choose whether or not to apply the assessment's Time to Review, Time to Respond, and Allow Re-Record to your question by clicking Override Limitations.

Step 3: When ready, Save your question to return to the Edit Assessment screen, or choose Save & Add Another question to add more questions to the assessment.
